AMI Supports Bill to Rescind E15 Waivers

AMI
joined a broad group of 36 organizations in
supporting
legislation introduced by Senators Roger Wicker
(R-MS) and David Vitter (R-LA)
that would overturn Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) waivers that allowed
gasoline containing 15 percent ethanol (E15) to
be used for many passenger cars
and light trucks. S. 344 would also prohibit
the EPA Administrator from
granting any waiver for a blend above 10
percent ethanol. On February 21,
AMI and other groups appealed to the U.S.
Supreme Court a D.C. Circuit Court
decision rejecting a challenge to EPA's grant
of partial waivers for use of
